PERINATAL THERAPY

"It’s ok not to feel ok”

As if planning for, or adjusting to, parenthood isn’t a rollercoaster by itself… perinatal depression and anxiety (more commonly known as “postpartum depression”) impacts 1 in 7 parents during pregnancy and up to a year after the birth. Many more women who miscarry or have stillbirths also suffer from postpartum depression.

Regardless of whether you are pregnant, recently gave birth, an adoptive parent, or a father struggling with the transition or with how to support your partner- postpartum depression and anxiety is NEVER your fault, and it’s treatable.

As with all my my work, I approach perinatal therapy through prioritizing relationship. This means that from the start, I strive to create an authentically warm, safe, and comfortable relationship where you can experience the validation and acceptance you deserve. During our meetings together I will help you better understand what you are experiencing and that it is temporary. Together, we’ll explore a variety of different methods to facilitate our work to find your footing again and move forward in well-being.

Remember- You are not alone. With help, you WILL get better.
